Making its debut in the luxury bicycle market, NeilPryde kept its focus on ‘performance’ and hence paid a great deal of attention to aerodynamics with extensive use of carbon fiber. The Diablo series which is comprised of Diablo Dura Ace ($5,400) and the Diablo Ultegra ($4,200) has been designed and developed keeping in mind the focus toward weight and the stiffness of the bikes. The Alize series on the other hand, comprised of Alize Dura Ace ($5,150) and Alize Ultegra ($3,950) is solely based on aerodynamic performance. The Alize series of bicycles for sale feature tapered head tube resembling an hourglass, along with deep-section seat tube, a diamond-shaped down tube and an extended Kamm tail. This high end collection of high performance luxury bikes was comprised of a folding bike, a mountain bike and a racing bike. The Mercedes Benz Folding Bike was designed for easy storage and employed a revolutionary and patented folding mechanism that gave the riders two folding options. The first method called the Shuttle position, enabled the luxury bike to be folded in manner that allowed rider to push and steer the bike, making it easier to carry while commuting via public transportation. The second folding method enabled the bike to be fully folded for easy storage in even small spaces. The Mercedes Benz folding bike came with a price tag of $2,410. Second in line in the bespoke Mercedes-Benz Bike Sports Selection 2009/2010 collection was the Mercedes Benz Mountain Bike. Developed especially for adventure cyclists, this expensive Mercedes bicycle was made specifically for off road biking and featured DT Swiss custom wheels, disc brakes and carbon fiber pedals. The Mercedes Benz Mountain Bike was launched in a limited edition model with only 100 examples slated for production and each of them carried a price tag of $5,670. The last model to be showcased by the company was the Mercedes Benz Racing Bike that as the name suggests was developed specifically for racing purposes. Considered to be one of the most expensive bicycles, the Mercedes Benz Racing Bike came with a price tag of $7,085 and featured DT Swiss RWS wheels, along with SRAM RED carbon-fiber pedals. There was also present a 20-speed SRAM RED gear system, while the bike itself carried a state of the art carbon fiber frame that was equally complemented with a Carbotec monocoque carbon-fiber fork.
